After high school graduation, I started working for the Upson Company and remained there for twenty-eight years. I was married in 1968 and have six children, four boys and two girls, all living in the Lockport and Batavia areas. I have thirteen grandchildren.

I married my present wife, Joyce, in 1994. We reside in Machias, Maine. I have two stepchildren, one in high school and the other just completed her freshman year at university. I am retired, and because Joyce is employed by the school system, we spend summers at our cottage on Pleasant Lake in Alexander, Maine. It is near the eastern Canadian border. Our hobbies, outside of camp life, are renovating our 1867 New England Cape, and gardening.
